Neurotech License Activation

Mozcom does not host the server that generates the license files. We only forward your concern to Neurotechnology. Please take note of the time difference between Lithuania and the Philippines. We are 6 hours early so email replies will come later at 3PM our time.

 

 

1. New Activation of License

This section is for first time license activation.

a. Through Activation Wizard

b. Through Neurotech Website

c. Using a Dongle

 

2. Hardware replacement / Operating System reinstallation

This section is for users who will replace their hardware, reformat their pc, or transfer the license to another computer. Before changing any hardware or reformatting the hard disk, user should deactivate the license first.

3. Reactivation of License

This section is for users with non-working license due to hardware change, hard disk reformat, or sometimes, anti-virus update.

Kindly prepare ALL the necessary files to avoid delays.

a. User already reinstalled the Operating System or Replaced the Hardware without deactivating the license

b. No part of the Hardware was replaced/added/removed and the operating system was not reinstalled

c. Serial/License number is Missing

 

4. Activation Errors

Usual errors during activation of license.

a. Serial number entered is not valid

b. Server response is not valid / Activation failed. Operation timed out

c. License for this serial was generated too many times

d. One of Neurotech modules is not registered

 


 

New Activation of License

1a. Activation Through Activation Wizard

Computer must have internet connection.

  • Run Activation Wizard.
  • Choose "Single computer License". Click Next.
  • Enter license serial. Generate the computer id file by clicking on Generate button.
  • Click on Activate Online button. User will be prompted with where to save license and what filename to use - default is license.lic
  • When the user clicks on the Activate button, the computer sends the generated computer id to Neurotechnology server. Then the server returns a license file (xxxxx.lic) to the computer.
  • After saving your license file click next/skip.
  • Leave first three fields empty (cluster server, cluster node, server license).
  • Choose "Select client license file:"
  • Browse for file "C:\Program Files\Neurotechnologija\Activation\license.lic" (assumming this is the license filename you have used)
  • Press "Install license manager service".

1b. Activation Through Neurotech Website

This is useful when the computer where the license will be installed does not yet have internet connection but user has online access on another computer.

  • Run Activation Wizard (included in the IDTOMIS installer)
  • Choose "Single computer License". Click Next.
  • Enter license serial then generate the computer id file by clicking on Generate button.
  • Do NOT click on Activate Online button.
  • Click on Save to File button beside the Activate Online button. This will save the computer id to a file
  • Upload or transfer the computer id file to the other computer which has internet connection.
  • Go to http://www.neurotechnology.com/cgi-bin/nla.cgi and upload the computer id file and a valid email address.
  • A license file will be emailed to the email address.
  • Open your email and download,transfer and save the license file to computer.
  • Then Start Activation Wizard. Choose "Single computer License". Click Next
  • At Page 2/3, DO NOT ENTER SERIAL NUMBER! Instead, press "Next/Skip" button at bottom right of page
  • Leave first three fields empty (cluster server, cluster node, server license).
  • Choose "Select client license file:"
  • Browse for file "C:\Program Files\Neurotechnologija\Activation\license.lic" (assumming this is the license filename you have used)
  • Press "Install license manager service".

1c. Activation Using A Dongle

  • Dongle should contain a license.
  • Select Volume License.
  • On the Next screen choose "This computer is using a dongle".
  • Click Install license Manger Service

License Deactivation

2a. License Deactivation

  • On your command prompt, go to "C:\Program Files\Neurotechnologija\Activation\" folder.
  • Please run

    In Windows:

    id_gen -rmmc

    In Linux and Mac:

    ./id_gen -rmmc

    For safety purposes you will be prompted "Deactivate license? (Y/N)". Please answer "Y". It would be impossible to continue using MegaMatcher on this computer after deactivation.

  • File deactivate.id will be generated as result.

  • Please send this file and original license file (*.lic) to megamatcher@mozcom.com.
  • User can now reformat or replace the hardware.
  • Once Neurotech gives another activation try, follow the steps in 1a.

License Reactivation

3a. User already reinstalled the Operating System or Replaced the Hardware without deactivating the license

  • User should prepare a scanned copy of a signed letter stating the reason why the hardware was replaced or why the OS was reinstalled.
  • Attach the letter to an email with the license number and send it to megamatcher@mozcom.com.

3b. No part of the Hardware was replaced/added/removed and the operating system was not reinstalled

  • Prepare the following files:
    • Diagnostic information saved to file
      • Go to Activation Wizard
      • Enter Single computer license, click Next
      • Skip Serial, Generate and Activate Online button
      • Click on Diagnostic button at bottom left of page then click on Save Text to File
      • provide a file name in which to save
    • Hardware id saved to file
      • Go to Activation Wizard
      • Enter Single computer license, click Next
      • Enter license serial at Serial
      • Click Generate button
      • click on Save to File button which is beside the Activate Online button
      • provide a file name in which to save
  • Attach both files to an email with the license number and send it to megamatcher@mozcom.com.

3c. Serial/License number is Missing

  • Kindly contact your Mozcom Relationship Manager at 8482606 or email them at cag-mnl@mozcom.com.

Activation Errors

4a. Serial number entered is not valid. 

  • Client gets this error after entering Serial at Page 2/3 of Activation Wizard. Maybe client is really entering wrong license serial. License serial should include the dashes/hyphens or "-". In most cases, the user enters a wrong character - license is a 32 hexamal digit number. Valid characters are letters A to F and numbers 0 to 9.
  • User may email cag-mnl@mozcom.com to verify the license number.

4b. Server response is not valid / Activation Failed. Operation timed out.

  • Remote Neurotechnology server is offline so wait for a few hours to activate again. You may email megamatcher@mozcom.com to ask if the server is online already.

4c. License for this serial was generated too many times.

  • The user is trying to activate the license again but he has exceeded the limit already. User must state the reason why there is a need to do the activation again. If it is still possible to do the deactivation procedure, the user must do so (refer to section 2a) and forward the deactivation id and license.lic file to megamatcher@mozcom.com. It is up to Neurotechnology whether they will grant the user another activation.

4d. One of Neurotech modules is not registered. 

Please follow these instructions:

  • Go to "C:\Program Files\Neurotechnologija\Activation\"
  • Delete "pgd.conf"
  • Start Activation Wizard
  • Choose "Single computer License"
  • Press "Next"
  • At Page 2/3, DO NOT ENTER SERIAL NUMBER! Instead, press "Next/Skip" button at bottom right of page
  • Leave first three fields empty (cluster server, cluster node, server license).
  • Choose "Select client license file:"
  • Browse for file "C:\Program Files\Neurotechnologija\Activation\license.lic" (assumming this is the license filename you have used)
  • Press "Install license manager service".
  • Start IDTOMIS.
  • The IsReg will have turned to blue by now.
